What does it take to be an AERS Member?

1) All Undergraduate students registered at UCSD for the quarter are eligible to be members of AERS

All students that are officially registered as students at UCSD are eligible for membership of AERS. We welcome passionate students who are excited to give back to the next generation via becoming a tutor/running drives and events in support of SDRT.

2) Attend ALL AERS GBMs and at least 1 tutoring session per week

In order to be considered an “active” member of AERS, we ask that you attend all of our GBM sessions that are held throughout the year, and attend at least 1 tutoring session per week, once the tutoring starts up in January 2023. Of course, we as fellow students, understand that there are unplanned events that occur that may prohibit a member from following the guidelines for membership, and in order to account for this, we ask the member to contact one of the board members in advance, so that we can keep account of attendances and  official matters for the organization. WE WILL BE KEEPING ATTENDANCE AT GBMs AND TUTORING SESSIONS. Additionally, in order to apply/be considered for board positions next academic year, we ask that you follow these guidelines.

3) Academic Enrichment for Relocated Students (AERS), will not deny membership on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or physical disability.

As an undergraduate student organization on UC San Diego’s campus, we are an inclusive organization that embraces and welcomes every student, no matter race, color, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or physical disability. If a board member or fellow member of AERS sees any instance against our inclusive membership policy, they are encouraged to report it to one of the board members, who will then consult the proper supervisors and administrators.
